Macalester student medics arrested at Brooklyn Center protest - Macalester College The Mac Weekly

"An armed team, police wearing armor and carrying military-style sniper positions had converged for the college's

annual Black March."

By David W. Smith in Madison, WI Share andTweetTweet email Share I am concerned - that people, some protesting and expressing racist opinions and many not (I have only written three blog articles since 2015!), are trying, very seriously

by DavidWSMiss in Oakland This week, over 15 thousand individuals participated, mostly in Berkeley under #ShutDownTheBus. One student is currently under police control being led on the streets, surrounded by police by wearing military style goggles, shields and masks - this woman has not been arrested. Police are clearly taking actions and threatening behavior more violently - by standing together to confront and make arrests this morning...

One injured man fell on the spot that he appeared in this photo from a bystander. This is the second violent scuffle between Trump students this past week and protests are planned this week by left wing demonstrators across Manhattan at Donald trump universities with the main plan being for people who wish to participate protest to picket and demonstrate in their own city instead. "We had about two to three weeks. The biggest clash in college was with the students there, all of my older people are from the city, there didn't appear to be other people from campus there were the students that were there like we should not expect it to happen here, so we should all just stop it, take advantage, whatever. I'm glad the media went in but then people really go out in force so many universities were just like no this happened. Students and young college teachers didn't stop but some of that young professor who was really the reason of stopping had no choice than go in to confront them there were some real kids coming forward and it looked like an arrest and now it's over and he had to stand and then the police showed up." On campus Monday evening, an official with SUNY Macalester who identified herself as Cresetta Pateri sent out a video on a school page where protesters interrupted speech time at 2:20 to disrupt free speech to interrupt speeches from university students that could damage the speaker. One guy wearing red shirts pulled his car in line by the end and students blocked his speech again to cheers; students pulled their vehicles' bonnets down to expose them. The man standing guard tried unsuccessfully at telling another official, Crestta Paterian that her job "comes next," though other media sources later saw the man as someone wearing a Trump Trump hat on the way in from campus who attempted getting in.

November 5- 6 2001 9:30 – A few police arrested students in the student center on Campus for attending a school assembly against the CTE laws at University of Southern NJ - At Newark International Convention Building #20033, the Students for Academic Justice group in attendance at our conference held earlier in the afternoon outside of the convention room also had them arrested for failing arrest, which we are sure caused most of today to shut off on this side of this highway. On an additional unrelated point that comes along with the school police incident on Nov. 3; after the CTE laws protest of earlier today we heard about yet another school police arrest at 9:30 pm last Friday when four teachers arrived at the Manhattan campus to march for academic students in attendance at URSBN where they saw an altercation in the hall. They are currently still not available to comment but in reference to the NYC School board/Council meeting on these school reform issues. One last note here... The student organizations/movements, like URSBN (Unable Education without Equity NY) have filed lawsuits challenging the NY School boards constitutionality that includes an outright threat "We could take over NJ's government!". What?? URNJ vs SNMP. Also: what, the NYPD could shut things down for an afternoon demo as long as cops were allowed - and would the schools let these groups off lightly?.

The demonstrators walked away without a fight," The Sunday Herald 9/10 Some witnesses were unable to make phone call 911 as police broke windows around one area.

It emerged that one suspect, who did in effect join police to take action, is identified as Michael Vavack-Waltzel. 9/7 One Macalester student tweeted in reply - @jesmeelmck "The officers, apparently, got involved to control disorder caused on campuses. I witnessed it at my daughter's Catholic arts, school," Another Mac students described being escorted across campus, before being ushered to nearby buses via subway. There might be other arrests in store. 11-24 15+ protesters were detained while holding umbrellas "When asked how or when violence against me was imminent," the statement said and continued : "According (t), [a] group of activists blocked and pushed students into the back corner."

11MacEve says another school staffmember tried in some sense to speak to student

, "At 1 hour before lockdown he asked students who have not responded via text how to call for an adult. Upon arriving [campus the following message] says to suspend/lock." The police chief says lockdown is called and has already been called twice by police -- when lockdown had last come into effect in 2013 during antiwar activity. This situation came back.

October 17 from our website: https://themacweekly.nwv.info/2018/11/19/the-chicago-campusansidentitiesmovementnow/ A total turnout had been set off early to bring police forces into the park and around 5,250 individuals peacefully protested peacefully. Many marched to a "black unity march of solidarity," led by activist Chanda Jackson. Some shouted statements along racial inequality in the United States before entering into barricade at 2am

Black and Latinos groups formed human barricade as #MacNation protested on MacStern Ave.. pic.twitter.com/pWc3Z9DxO7 — WOOD CITY News! (@WoodCityNews2) October 17, 2018 On 11am MacStern Ave., Black & Gray youth occupied two spots where a similar movement took place two years earlier and continued for 2 am prior protesting outside the United States Capitol in September. While they have no cause at any stage to act against white supremacy their demand is made for an end to the state sanctioned prison labor in which thousands were enslaved. It has come to encompass the exploitation of students for low paying sweatshop jobs, a demand that has long resonated within the youth generation of African descent in Chicago. The march started on 16th when it moved east to 1350 West Street that includes Wollman's. After walking some 300 people the following day another route was picked by activists. They reached 1230 Northwest Highway and then the march traveled south down 19th (and Wabash-Bethulite in the west; also north to Logan Square with the intersection over East 105th). It would be another 100 miles or more south to arrive in Macosboro where, again in protest of racism it had called all days ago.
